ICPSR Summer ProgramThinking about going to "stats summer camp" this summer? With nearly 100  workshops to choose from, online or in-person, the ICPSR Summer Program is the best place to learn quantitative methods. Register before May 1 and save on the three-week sessions! Build your own curriculum and explore options from the introductory to the advanced.

Our short workshops start May 15, and run through August. One or two weeks long, these are the perfect way to take a deep dive in a particular topic. Registration for short workshops closes on the Thursday before the workshops starts, so save yourself the trouble of counting days and register today!

As part of the short workshop schedule, the Summer Program works with projects across ICPSR and ISR to hold sponsored workshops, with free or reduced registration fees, that focus on a project or archive, like the Panel Study of Income Dynamics, the Monitoring the Future study, or the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health study. Visit our short workshop schedule for more information on these and how to apply. [More]

SOMAR will use the AWS Promotional Credits to offset the cost of computing, which will help people from under-resourced institutions gain access to the rich data SOMAR offers. "Computing resources shouldn't be a barrier to research, and SOMAR is glad to be able to offset some of those costs with these credits," said University of Michigan Professor Libby Hemphill, SOMAR’s director. [More]

Faces of ICPSR: Tyler Beltran

Meet Tyler Beltran

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: RCMD! I love working at this sub-archive! I am a sociologist and I come from an underrepresented group, and a lot of the work we do in RCMD resonates with me and motivates me to be creative. We also do a lot of hands-on equity building, which I totally live for, so working on RCMD is kind of a dream job for me.
