The NIH’s New Data Management and Sharing Policy: How Can ICPSR Help?

webinar, Designating ICPSR in your NIH Data Management and Sharing Plan (October 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm ET).Researchers now have a new tool to help navigate the new National Institutes of Health (NIH) Data Management & Sharing Policy, which takes effect on January 25, 2023, and requires a data management and sharing (DMS) plan for all grant proposals. ICPSR’s new resource page provides guidance to researchers as they plan to designate a repository for their data in their DMS plans as part of NIH grant proposals.

The new resource page includes information about ICPSR’s NIH-supported archives, guidelines for data management and sharing plans, and how to deposit with ICPSR. Researchers can also sign up for a virtual consultation with ICPSR staff to discuss putting together an NIH data management and sharing plan if they would like to designate ICPSR as the intended repository for their data.

Be sure to check out our upcoming webinar, Designating ICPSR in your NIH Data Management and Sharing Plan (October 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm ET). Stay tuned for additional resources from ICPSR as we approach the start of the new policy.
