U-M to Return Home to Face Central Michigan at Ray Fisher

Schedule Update: The University of Michigan baseball team's home contest against Central Michigan has been moved from Tuesday (May 6) to Wednesday (May 7) at 5 p.m. due to potential inclement weather in the area. (5/5/25)

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan baseball team (30-17) will host Central Michigan (17-30) in a midweek contest on Wednesday (May 7) at 5 p.m. at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium. Entry to the game is free admission, and the contest will stream on Big Ten Plus.

Notes

• The Wolverines are coming off back-to-back rivalry series sweeps, most recently beating Ohio State with a combined score of 47-8 -- including the largest win in series history on Saturday (May 3) at 23-1.

Keegan O'Hearn started the last four games at designated hitter, and has tallied six hits, six runs and eight RBIs. He hit two home runs on Sunday (May 4) in a doubleheader against the Buckeyes for the first of his career. O'Hearn holds a .579 on-base percentage over his four starts, with three walks and two hit-by-pitches in addition to his hits.

Jeter Ybarra tallied a team-leading eight hits over the weekend against Ohio State. Ybarra scored four runs and seven RBIs over the weekend and held a .733 on-base percentage. He has brought his season average to .304 and is one of three Wolverines to appear in every contest.

Benny Casillas leads the Big Ten in batting average, hitting .418, and is second in hits with 71. He leads the conference in hits per game, averaging 1.54, and added four hits over the three games against the Buckeyes.

Mitch Voit ranks in the top 10 in the conference in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. Voit is slashing .361/.500/.663 with 11 home runs with his most recent coming in the series finale against Ohio State. Voit is tied for sixth all-time in career home runs at Michigan with 32.

Brayden Jefferis has appeared in 33 games as a freshman with 21 starts. He is hitting .317 this season with five extra base hits, 19 runs and 16 RBIs. Jefferis went 3-for-9 against Ohio State but scored six runs after drawing five free passes.

Greg Pace Jr. is leading the Wolverines over the past ten games, hitting .400 with 12 runs on 12 hits. He has homered three times over the past 10 games and totaled 25 bases in those games. This season, Pace is hitting .32 with a 1.075 OPS with 26 runs and 26 hits. 

• Central Michigan holds a 17-30 record and was swept by Western Michigan last weekend. The Chippewas are 1-0 against Big Ten schools -- beating Michigan State, 6-5. All-time, the Wolverines hold a 48-31-1 record and have won the past two contests.
