Over $611,000 to Fund Student Research and Internships Abroad
The International Institute and the Rackham Graduate School have awarded $611,603 in support of research and internships to 174 students through 15 funding opportunities. Students will travel abroad between May 2018 and May 2019 to conduct research or serve internships in 68 countries.
Research projects range from: improving maternal healthcare in Zambia to combating undernutrition for children in Armenia, from social justice issues in India to addressing climate change and natural resource management. Internships will be with organizations including U.S. Embassies, universities, museums, and NGOs.
