U-M 2019-20 Men's Basketball Schedule

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- In conjunction with the University of Michigan Ticket Department, the U-M's men's basketball program announced Wednesday (July 10) its 11-game non-conference schedule. All television designations and game times are expected to be announced in early September.

"We have put together a very challenging and balanced non-conference schedule," said U-M's David and Meredith Kaplan head men's basketball coach Juwan Howard. "These 11 games gives us not only 11 opportunities to grow and get better as team, but it also helps to face several high-caliber opponents prior getting into the Big Ten schedule. I am looking forward to seeing how we progress."

The Juwan Howard era opens with U-M's lone exhibition game against Saginaw Valley State on Friday, Nov. 1. The 2019-20 season officially tips off with the first of four straight home contests at Crisler Center.

Following the regular season opener against Appalachian State on Tuesday, Nov. 5, U-M will play Creighton on Nov. 12 in a 2019 Gavitt Tipoff Games matchup -- the annual eight-game battle between the Big Ten and the Big East.

Tying into U-M's scheduled trip to the Battle 4 Atlantis over the Thanksgiving holiday (Nov. 27-29), the Maize and Blue will face Elon on Nov. 15 as part of the tournament's non-traveling on-campus matchup. Just prior to Michigan leaving for the Bahamas, the Wolverines will play Houston Baptist on Nov. 22.

While bracket and game matchups for contests in the Bahamas are still being finalized, teams that will join U-M in the 2019 field include Alabama, Iowa State, Gonzaga, North Carolina, Oregon, Seton Hall and Southern Miss.

After returning from the islands, the Wolverines will remain on the road as they square off with Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center in the 2019 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

With the turn of the calendar to December, Michigan will interrupt its non-conference slate to play a pair of Big Ten contests in early December with a home and road game scheduled. Conference details and opponents are expected to be released in mid-to-late August.

In mid-December, U-M begins a home-and-home series with Oregon. The Maize and Blue welcome the Ducks to Ann Arbor for the first time on Dec. 14. U-M is expected to play a return game next season in Eugene, Oregon, at the Matthew Knight Arena.

Prior to the December holiday break, the Wolverines play Presbyterian College on Dec. 21 and close out the 2019 calendar year and non-conference schedule with UMass Lowell on Dec. 29.

There will be a limited amount of group tickets available for non-conference games made available in mid-July. All U-M fans interested in group ticket options along with on-court experiences, are asked to fill out the U-M Ticket Request Form

Additionally, season ticket renewals will be available until Friday, July 26. Information on renewing tickets can be found by logging into your account
